Ushering is a ministry that aims at reflecting Christ servant hood by serving others and it is led by Esau Tlhoaele. Humility really plays a vital role in the ministry because ushers are the first people to arrive at church in order to prepare the church for the service; they make people feel welcomed, serving communion to congregation and cleaning up at the end of the service. The ushers uphold Colossians 3:17 which say, ‘And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him’. And all this cannot be done without prayer thus the amount of time spend beforehand in prayer is of utmost importance so that Christ can be glorified while they minister to others. |
