Ministry Verse: Philippians 4:6: Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God @ELIM adopts prayer as the foundation of everything within the ministry. As Christians, prayer is critical because it is our way to communicate with our Saviour, Jesus Christ. With Christ being the centre of ALL we do, we will surely be able to do all things (within His will) through Him. Elim is a house of prayer and that is how it will remain. Christ is our MASTER, so this means that we have to strive to consult with HIM before any action is taken. On Sundays before the service we have prayer that focuses on asking for the move of His Holy Spirit during the service. This prayer time also focuses on the congregation that will be receiving the Word, as well as the Pastor who will be delivering the Word. On a weekly basis the individuals within the team fast for their own issues, as well as the issues of the church. On a monthly basis there is a special day where the whole team fasts for their ministry and other issues affecting the church. The team’s main focus remains prayer and we thus also involve ourselves in other activities that glorify Christ, such as socials and others. Christianity is not boring but is both fun and exciting!
